please, im asking that only current Werner drivers reply to this post, not people who USED to or who are about to start working there, but the people who are actually behind the wheel of a Werner truck at this present time.
that being said.
I want to know what driving for Werner is really truly like?
is it as scary as it seems based upon the post that i have read on this site?
as i am sure that most of the bad post are from former drivers who are just here to vent cause the got fired for whatever reasson.
based on what i have read about Werner on this page, i am kind of lerry about starting at this company, however im just about out of options here
( speeding ticket (20mph over) almost 3 years ago, only 22 years old stopping me from most other companies )
I just want to no if it is as bad as it seems, im looking to start there at the end of this month, the 25, but i need to hear from current werner drivers only, please.

You must:

have a valid CDL Class A (HAZMAT not required but encouraged).
be at least 21 years old.
meet DOT requirements and pass a DOT physical, which includes substance screening.
have a safe driving record.
have no more than three moving violations in the past three years.
have good work history.
be able to fulfill the physical demands of the job.
have no DWI/DUI (last five years) convictions.
be a graduate of a truck driving school approved by Drivers Management

That GOOD driving record could be a problem for you. With a speeding ticket for 20 over.

I should have said in my last post that i already recieved a pre-hire from werner, and that my speeding ticket was determined to be ok by the company.
they said cause it was the only violation on my licens and it was almost 3 years ago

k now dont tell anyone but ive been a werner driver 3 times lol its not a bad company. their pay sucks and terminals are like prisons. or maybe like a marriage....easy to get in but damn hard to get back out of. course the trucks are slow and their rep is kinda cruddy cause you know if its a big blue truck its a rookie driver!! Course that isnt so....well sometimes it isnt so...2 things bout weiner...1 when you quit turn your truck in and you always have a job to fall back on and 2 you get to list 3 trucks that you want to drive. ask for long nosed trucks that keeps you outta canada.

you get to pick out of 3 trucks? thats pretty nice i guess, i think thats the nice'ist thing iv heard about this company ha, as fas picking a long nose, i actualy want to go up into canada, i no i no not a good idea, but i want to do it, you only live once right?
this sounds like the type of company that is eitther hit or miss, its either a good company for people, or a bad company for peoeple, i think they will like me cause im not anchored down, no kids, no wife, still live at home

The main reason that i think drivers dont want to go into Canada is not because they dont want to go up nort...but its the hassle and pain in the bass. Tons of paperwork, legal crap, load inspections (maybe)...company policies to follow and oh so much more, lol.

Then, I was luck! The only time my trainer and I went to Canada, it was pretty simple, no hassle, no delay (waited in line maybe 15 minutes or so to go through the border). The co. had instructed us what paperwork to have ready, bar codes, documents to show, etc. So, we were ready. No inspections either (we were hauling automotive parts). At receiver, it was fast too. They were ready for us as soon as we arrived. Very efficient.
