employment references

Where do trucking companies get info about your past employers? Do they contact the ones that you provide on your application? What kinds of questions can or can't they ask? The Capt. will appreciate any kind of response.

I don't know, but I have thought about going into the "previous employer business".

Get a couple cell phones with different area codes and charge for a good reference.

The applicant provides names and addresses of former employers. The prospective employer is required by section 391.23 to verify your experience, accident record, drug and alcohol tests, etc.
