Truck driver application

Hey everyone! thanks for opening my thread..I have a small favor or maybe I should call it a question..I am opening a trucking company and I am getting my own truck soon, and I want to put a driver on it..I was wondering what do I need like special documents for that driver to sign? I mean where can I get a drivers application..for him to write down his name etc..references all the fun stuff we all need from drivers..incase of DOT checks..

this would help alot if someone helps me out with this..or gets me an application..thanks everyone!

sorry if in wrong forum..

have a nice day..

Myself, I don't see how a person could have one truck and pay someone to drive it as well. Anymore it seems like you need to own and operate it to help keep the profits up and the expenses down. Just my opinion.

well i have money to back myself up..and then everything should go stable..

by the way can I make my own application? print it out and the driver would fill it out..is it ok with DOT for me to make my own application? which would ask the driver everything..references everything..all his information..

You can get all the forms you need pre-printed from J.J. Keller. get the complete driver pack, then you can run copies you need. Hope this helps a bit!! Happy trucking!

I would tend to agree with notarps... I don't see how you can make any kind of profit with one truck and a hired driver. In fact, I think it would be hard to show a profit with one truck and the O/O as the sole employee.
