Getting Discouraged Quickly....What to do?

I have one week left before I graduate from CDL school and still I have NO job prospects.
Im figuering its for 2 reasons:

1) I have a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge back in July 2004 which I cannot get expunged due to Missouri Law. Some companies want to avoid me like the plauge. Even though Im a good and hard worker, they dont want to touch me with a 10ft. pole.

2) I live in the sticks and am at least 50 miles from a major freight lane which the closest one to me is I-55.

I have filled out so many apps online that I forget sometimes who I filled one out for.
It seems like no matter where I look I keep running in to a dead end.
I cant even get an email from any of the companies Ive applied to.

Whats a person to do? I need help and a JOB!!

Who has rejected you? There are people out there with much worse records who are getting jobs easily. You might have to go further down your list of desired companies, but you should be able to find something.

Yea, it's funny how it work's. I know people with felonies who drive truck's but people who are clean are having a hard time. I know those who have a record lie on their app's but I'm not going to lie because that'll only come to haunt you later.

Well, Maverick wont touch me EVER, TMC wont touch me and Boyd wont even give me the time of day. Those I have actually talked to on the phone.
BTC doesnt care about the misdemeanor but told me I dont live close enough to a freight lane. Others I have emailed and cant get a response.
The lady at the school that helps with job placement (which is'nt that great) has submitted my app to Arrow twice and left a message on an answering machine but no one has called her back yet.
I would love to get into Flatbedding but may have to resort to Van.

You might check into Sharkey. They have flatbeds, reefers and dry vans.
