Average pay

What would the average pay be while you are taining with a Driver Trainer.
The companies I'm looking at being trained through are SWIFT first ( San Antonio), and Drivers Solutions (Fort Worth) second. And is that usually a six week period?

Unless it has changed within the past 18 months. That's what you will get PRE taxes. Thats ON THE TRUCK pay. If you're going to their "school". I would ask about those details. I don't recall what happens there.

It's going to be tough, no doubt. The last student I trained that came from Swift. Showed me his pay deposit, $48.00 after advances and taxes taken out. We just happen to get by his house for a couple of days off. His wife was in tears. They were being evicted from their home.

They had 4 kids from ages 2-15.

are these last resort options for you? have you tried TWC (texas workforce) they have a grant program that pays for school. have you called other schools. I am going to roadmaster in san antonio next monday. my credit is horrible but i was able to put down like $1500 and that included my hotel. I was going to go with c1 but your only otions would be usa truck and pam. not very good companies from what i read. I have got a pre-hire letter from tmc and will be going there when out of school. i think training pay is $350 and home weekends. good luck and i hope this has helped you.

Swift if I remember right
week 1-2 $350 per week
week 3-4 $400 maybe $450? it's been a while
weeks 5-6 $500 per week.
Then $500 bonus when you pull your first solo load.

From 3 individual students who bailed on Swift, and came over to CFI. Of which I trained 2. This was about 18 months ago.

It's been almost two years since I trained with Swift, so I wasn't sure if that was correct or not. My memory sucks half the time, as does Swift.
