| Contact Swift in Phoenix and let them know. I know that the terminal in Ohio has pictures of what happened to the trucks when the trainer took and was in the sleeper during those first two weeks of training. |

| Welcome to trucking! I started with Schnieder 11 years ago and on my first trip out my trainer did the driving till we got back to the yard. He then had me back in my first back up, in the dark, in the rain, in a lot were trailers were not evenly parked, into a diagonal slot with not much space in front, kind of like how some of the truckstops are. I was completely disoriented because I was not used to the mirrors yet and I wound up clipping the passenger mirror on a trailer as I was cutting the cab to get back under the trailer lol. The trainer wasn't even in sight to stop me. Oh well lol. He wound up cutting me loose after 2 weeks because all my skills were up to par, and understood why maybe his choice of when a student should first back up might not have been ideal. I "C" teamed one week and then was on my own. 2 Weeks School 2 Weeks Trainer 1 Week "C" Team 52 Weeks of Indentured Service 11 years later No DOT Reportables, a clean licence and still looking for that elusive great job.

Automated phone service. If swift backed into you please press one. I am sorry that number is out of service or maybe down. It could be that the network is full at this time. Please try again your call is important too us. If you are calling to report a driver parked beside you without hitting you please press 2 now that line is available and operators are standing by.....

| Are you preplanning your trip? Have you been taught to preplan your trip so you know what roads and exits to take? I highly recommend learning GPS. Doesn't the swift qualcom give directions? BRI |

| I ran for Swift for a yr, and ya they have directions, not all that bad at least that is what my experience was. When I received directions I always checked them out against the road atlas. If I could find a easier route without going to far out of the fuel route I would do it.. When I was being trained with my "mentor" the first two weeks, he never slept. After the first couple of days if he felt my driving was ok he would have me do all of the driving, while he sat and watched. If I was going to make a mistake or if I was having trouble he would help me out and give me pointers. Plus when ever we had spare time, we would always look for a place to do backing practices, and NO I never backed into anything, nor did damage to anyone else's equipment.. |

| sounds like my experience. Couple days with trainer watching closely - taking opportunity to downshift cuz I suck at it. After backing into three separate docks.. that was my job. Never hit a thing I wasn't supposed to (Came close once, but I wasn't backing) Now, a week after I left his truck - he texts me and tells me he backed into a big yellow post at a shipper. What's a trainee to do?
