Stevens and DAC or whatever it's called now.

Hi,

I have never gone to Steven's Transport but I did apply to work there. They have set me a training date for May 19th. Do you suppose if I don't go it will hurt my DAC report? I haven't even signed a contract or anything. Right now it's just a start training date. After I read comments here I decided to check into Schneider. They have also excepted me to at least train in their school beginning May 14th. I'm just trying to make sure here before I just blow off Steven's, that they can't hurt me. I would much prefer Schneider for training. Same city, maybe less miles, but better comments from current and passed workers.

Steven's does keep calling me to confirm, but I don't think I want to try them yet. I hate to go there and then hate trucking because of the politics that happen there. I have to admit I am chicken about telling them I am canceling their school.

Since you have not signed a contract and not employed with them. They can't put anything on your DAC/USIS report. I would tell them a family problem has arose and you cannot start at this time. You will get back with them at a later date when everything is resolved. Good luck on your training ....

Thanks. I figured they couldn't but just making sure. I am thinking about getting on their training list for June though if the Schneider training doesn't work out. I wander what happens if you fail the CDL permit, and you are supposed to start class Saturday?
