ok, what NOT to do in a truck stop...

Hey, so im still a new driver, been driving on my own for about a month now, and i love it, however, this past week i was up in NY and i was parked at a Pilot, got there at about 3:00pm, so there were a few spots open still in the back, if your familiar witht the small pilot in syracuse right off of 81 then you no what im talking about, if youv parked in the way back lot.
anyway. this past week i get there at about 3, i park, and to my left there is just a trailer, no tractor, to my right and empty spot, and on the other side of that spot, Mavrick. so some time goes by, all the spots are filling up, and in comes Schnider, he wants to take the spot between me and Mavrick. he stats backing in, and he gets REALLY REALLY REALLY close to my front right end. so im bout to hit the horn to tell him to stop and he stops and pulls forword, comes in again for a 2nd try, and this time he keeps backing doing good, then i look out my passenger side window to see him SMACK! right into mavricks sleeper..... THEN!!!
later that night again, im sitting there, C.R England pulls in, sees there are no spots available in the back, and he decides to make a U-turn, and he does, he is able to make it, but his trailer smached in to the front end of a guy tractor..... so to sum this up,
1. G.O.A.L!! Get Out And LOOK!!!!!!
2. IF you think you might have a hard time making a u-turn, DONT DO IT!
3. turn your CB and listen to other drivers help you out, or use it to ask for help!!
but the most important thing is to G.O.A.L!!!!!

yes, as a matter of fact, after the 2 accidents, a lot of drivers got talken, and there was one driver, like myself, young, and still a virgen to trucking, who was telling me that he has never G.O.A.L and its on his mirror, and on the corner of the trailer when looks in the mirror, but he siad after seeing this happen 2xs in a matter of 2 hours, he will be getting out and looking,
it dont matter how good a driver you are, or how new a driver you are, while i was sitting there, i saw other drivers getting outa there truck and helping some vet drivers get into the spots, i saw old timers getting out and looking a few times, and i observed the young, new looking drivers coming in, NOT getting out and looking, and having to spend almost 5-10 mins going back and forth back and forth back and forth, when in the end, had they got out and looked, they would have been parked for 5 mins,
all i no is that i GOAL 100 times if i have to, cause im not hitting someone, a truck, trailer, poll, car, building, im not hitting anything, and if it takes me an hour, then it takes me an hour.

Spend your hard earned money in the store. Anything you need can be found at Wal mart, K-Mart, or Target.

As for backing, most drivers will never learn to do it safely. I love the one that backing one handed with cell phone stuck to the ear and stereo blasting.

Notarps hahaha, i dont get it, when you pull into someplace and clearly you can tell its tight, they first thing you should is THINK about it, and then start to move SLOWLY, then, Get Out And Look!! geez,
it is funny sitting and wacthing people do it. it helps the time go buy, and it also teaches me what NOT to do in the truck stops ha

Oh I know that Pilot. The one where my Pocket Book says it's to the RIGHT when it's really to the LEFT?
