Hmmmm. I can get both LaCrosse and Danner on base at the BX. Think I need to head down there and see what kind of prices they're asking.

I like the Wolverine 10" wellington with durashock and steel toe. There's no shoe laces to tie and they're very ccomfortable. I wore around fuels and never slipped and they lasted over 5 years. They only cost around $139. BTW you never know how a steel toe will protect you.

U at MacDill? I spent some time there and Hurlbert Field in the Panhandle way back when....unfortunately OPSEC and a NDS prevent me from disclosing what units I was attached to.

Yeah... Have access to MacDill... One of the nice things about having one of those "retired" cards.

Sketchers...

Sketcher "Sargents" waterproof, no steel toe, boon-docker style, (that reminds me, i remember wearing gov't issue boondockers I got in boot camp and loved for at least five years), Anyway, the sketchers cost $50 at J.C. Penney's back then. Unfortunately, they don't make 'em any more.
