| I too, started my career with Schneider. They have excellent training, and after it's all through, you're actually ready to function out there. I had a few issues with them, but all in all, I'd have to say, based on my experience, they were better than most! |

| In the sense that you're not rushing to get to a place you've never been, in a state you've never been, that closes at 3:30 their time, with a load that wants to shift and the road has been flooded, I'd say it's more stressful than taking rock to the same road 4 times a day. |

I've done the "local" gig. Didn't like it at ALL. And I don't want to be home every night. NopE! Give ME the open road. ![]() |

| I understand what you mean. I'm in the midwest. You just get in and go. The biggest problem with delivery and truck&pup type jobs here is boredom. That's why you need to go home to your honey...for the excitement. It sounds like killer11 may have been overdoing the excitement lately? |

Is that Texaco truck stop still there in Lincoln? Shoemakers, I think it was/is. I used to pull a lot of loads out of Lincoln from the Cushman Company --- to all parts of the country, and spent MANY nights at the Texaco truck stop. |

![]() Cushman's got bought by a foreign company, then shut the doors and moved to Mexico or somewhere. We could use some of those scooters right now. |
