Newbie Quesion

Newbie to the forum and the trucking world. I will be graduating a good school next week and am looking for a job. I will have my CDL A along with all the endorsements including hazmat. The problem is I quit my last job 2 years ago because of my sons health and the fact that I couldn't find a daycare that would take him 3rd shift because of his problems.

Now I am having a problem getting hired because I don't have any work experience in the last year. Anyone know of any companies that will look at me? I am looking to start ASAP. Thanks

Use the school....

Don't know if you attended a trucking school to get your CDL. If you did, most of them should offer job placement assistance. If you look for work on your own....you'll have to settle for sh*^ty companies like I did.

I don't believe that for a minute. Any time you let a recruiter do your work you settle for a company that needs to fill their seats . Mostly becuase they can not keep drivers. If you settled on a company that is not right for you who's fault is that? There's always two good points to look at a company to tell if they are worth working for. 1 do they have drivers that retire and 2 do they need to advertise for drivers? Of course you'll want to research any company as much as you can but if you want to go with the bottom feeders it's easy.
