When you travel, keep the curtains to the bunk closed, keep a pair of mens work boots where they can be seen, like on the passenger floor where people would see them through the little window in the door. Anything that would made people think you have a husband in the bunk.
Buy a few light sticks, use them to mark the lines on the ground, when backing into loading docks in the dark. Carry a flashlight, wrecking bar for pulling nails out of trailer floors, go to the post, "Strange and bizzare tips from drivers" for more input on what some of us carry.
Good luck.

Don't let any driver influence or push you in the way you drive. Keep in your safety zone. Don't trust anyone and keep your truck door locked at all times. If you do need to have a problem solved at a truck stop be sure you screen the driver before you approach him or her. It's best to use the computer and stay unknown.

Welcome

This site has a wealth of information for you........ go up to the bar and click on "Search" and type in KLLM............ that should give you enough reading material for a few days/weeks.......lol......

Also, they have what they call company DAC reports......... I'll put the link below for the one that goes straight to KLLM:

As for advice..... I am a wannabe/newbie/student so I can't help there...... I will tell you my all time favorite "security" measure that I've read about here.... so far..... a can of wasp spray...... as the poster pointed out, the stuff shoots from 25 feet away....... makes me laugh just to type it.......

Keep the CB off except when you need it. Unless you want to hear a bunch of immature guys discussing how much they'd like to have that KLLM driver in the back of their truck.

Welcome to the biz, and good luck to you.
