Sounds a bit crazy, doesn't it?

More like completely false. If there's a trucking company out there that would require that of their drivers, they won't be in business very long because they'll never keep any drivers. And Trans Am has been around for quite some time.

Most of what he's been told was during orientation and from his trainer. His trainer goes out for months on end and doesn't get any home time at all. He's been with the company for 3 years at that. Do the ppl you talk to do the lease option? B/c he said that if they do that yeah they get more home time. Recruiters promised him all this home time and he was told something totally different during orientation and from his trainer.

does he have to repay a loan or something ? i think training is like 3 weeks with a trainer.so where did the 3 to 6 ,months come from if he gets his own truck and put in for home time every 8 days im sure he will receive some home time within 6 months if he does every 8 days....

The people I knew and have talked to more recently were not lease operators. I stand by my original point of view that your husband has either been lied to or is lying to you. Don't just take my word for it, though.
