Hazmat with felonies..

The oilfield is much more forgiving for felons. If the felony is non violent , not drug or drug related, or sexual in nature your chances of getting a good 60,000 a year job are good. If the felony is any of those the indian reservation in north dakota would hire you for the same but youll not be covered by osha, workers comp, dot, etc... and be driving 10 year old trucks that barely work

Very true. I'm a perfect example.

I made 6 figures in the oilfield with felonies. Sadly, those days are gone till the next boom.

After 7 years you can get a HAZMAT endorsement and work for FedEX

 

Don't ya just love how people are not given a second chance in this country? Well unless they're a politician or rich enough to buy their way out of anything that is. Many of which are murderers and serial rapists. Anything is okay as long as they have the connections or greenbacks. I have ONE offense on my record 25 years ago that wasn't even about theft. It was about trying to settle a dispute out of court. I took some stuff from a person who owed me money and left a message on their recorder saying I would give back when they paid me what was owed to me. They called the police and had me arrested instead.

Following that, my lawyer talked me into pleading guilty because I couldn't afford to take it to trial, convincing me it would be sealed and never show up, I agreed on those terms. But now it is, due to FBI fingerprinting. So recently I checked to see if I could get the stupid bogus charge dropped (expunged) but they said I couldn't because I plead guilty to the charge. SUCH ABSOLUTE BS!

 

In some countries you could have had your hand chopped off or been stoned to death. Don't be so bitter about it.

Trucking will aggravate that. I don't know too much, but that cab be shaking and rolling some days you will hate it.

But yes....its true; In this country, you get as much justice as you can afford.

last time I was stopped for an inspection the officer walked up and said "you know why i'm doing and inspection on you....?"..... I said "YA because I have the hello mr officer stickers on the trailer".... he said yup

he laughed, I laughed...... good times

 

I just got out of prison a year and half ago will this disquaify me from getting my hazmat

 

There is a small list of DQ, but generally you will interview face to face for a threat assessment for and vs Homeland Security among other things. If you have not sliced or diced anyone or gassed a german town to get that rumored million dollars in the bank held since 1933 you are fine. (Half teasing...)

I have to laugh because if I did not I would cry and be a basket case by now. I'll help with some, but fair warning Ive been known to laugh off the rest ... he he he... he...

They don't want deviants or mentally defective running say a 8000 gallon propane bomb truck against say the football super bowl wherever it is usually by that time of the year. They do very important security stuff to keep people like you and me safe. All I can do is run around like Porky Pig bleating shoo! don't touch that. SHoo.. lol.

Anyway you should be ok unless you are one of very few who has managed to do some really out rageous stuff like black sunday or something seriously bad.
