I just passed the hazmat endorsement test, I already have my CDL with tanker and doubles/triples. I have to take my birth cert back to the dmv tomorrow with the form and $60 to send in. I have insurance fraud on my record, my school told me i should have no issue getting it because thats not terroristic, can anyone who knows what theyre talking about tell me if thats true or not? I dont want to spend $60 if im not going to get it.

Fraud will definately void out any type of HazMat endorsement. Hell, it might keep you from finding a decent trucking job.

"Awesome"???? You're in school and you've laid out your money and you may not be able to work. That's awesome?? What's awesome is your school telling you that you'll have no problems. Don't you think they'll tell you anything to get your money? I'm not saying you'll be banned from driving a truck but don't be a fool and believe what a school or recruiter tells you. They could give 2¢ about your life and you're making life decisions. Please do your own checking before you sign away your life and then get stuck with a huge bill.

Don't haul hazmat. Why do you want "kick-me" and "please inspect my cavaties" signs on your truck anyway?

That offense won't exclude you from a good trucking job, but you better be upfront with the recruiter and convince him it's in the past.

Most flatbed co's DON'T haul hazmat and have enough fun paying for the insurance for regular stuff. The hazmat endorsement you need for some of the big companies is for the occasional load and probably gets you a load faster than someone without it. Big whoop!

haha kick me signs, never heard that. You're right, and so is the other guy who had mentioned the cost of my schooling and all. I was having difficulty finding a job and this was my most recent let down, I just have to keep plugging away somewhere or die (literally, I have cystic fibrosis and really need insurance) trying.
