    Howdy GWAR!
    Welcome to the forums.

Now, about your small, 9 lb kitty ---
keep in mind that many states and/or cities have NO-Idle laws now, along with company NO-Idle rules and kitty might not cotton to the extreme temperatures.

    HeY!
I'm a cat lover too --- seven of 'em own me.
But I haven't found a single Big truck truckin' company that'll allow all of them on board at the same time. :biggrin_25525: :biggrin_25523:

    Bummers, HuH? :biggrin_2552:

Dont be shocked that any company who allows pets is going to want a deposit for any damages that fluffy or spot may incur.

The reason for the change at most companies is that with the anti-idling crusade, a pet is seen as circumventing the policy and in some states the law. However after looking at the state laws regarding idling, they all have previsions for animals. No state wants PETA or some other animal group hammering them in court over this.

So if Fluffy came out with you, the company couldn't stop your idling. Henceforth most companies have banned pets from the trucks.

That should speak volumes about how we are regarded by upper management.

See the little Ms Daisy in my signature? That's our little girl, she's about 3.5 yrs old now. I never thought I would be anywhere close to how my dad was when it came to dogs. I thought that a dog is a dog, and animal. I've owned several throughout my lifetime. Labs, chow, and some various heinz-57s.

However since we acquired Daisy, and since I've had a lot of time off, having to be around her constantly, I've done some serious observing. I never knew just how much of a personality they have. How they can show various emotions, just by little changes in their facial expressions.

Anyway, the company that I'm going to start driving for has a strict policy against any riders, or animals. I thought when I applied to them, and just assumed since it is a small company, they wouldn't have such a strict policy. I came close to walking away from them just because of this. After thinking about it, I can see where they're coming from, not only from a insurance point of view, but from the safety of the animal. Some places that I must go into to load, would pose a health hazard for them. Something that I would never do.

So I will not get to take her with me at all. Oh and I forgot to mention, if I did, wife would kick my ##### into the next century. She thinks Daisy is her's, just because she got her.. :biggrin_2559:

She will not be holding her breath for your response. Last time she was on here was November 2008.
