criminal record

Hey guys, need help, have a pretty bad criminal record but my most recent conviction is already 8 years old, the rest are 18 years or older, recieved free private training from a retired driver, and have current cdl, ran records check on myself and i am not "blacklisted", yes convictions are d.u.i. and drug related, but keep in mind, they are almost 20 years old, think i got a chance

Hmmmm.
Maybe, But keep in mind that most trucking companies don't allow more than 1 in a LIFETIME.
Not really the company as much as it is their insurance.

Yes, you have a chance, but be prepared for some hunting. Felonies or misdemeanor offenses? How many DUI's? My husband had a checkered background also and was able to find a job without a problem. A bigger hurdle for you might be the fact that you did not graduate from an approved driving school. Many companies will require either driving school or verifiable experience.

good points LM.
I also don't know of a SINGLE company that will hire you if you have more than 1 DUI in a lifetime.

I remember that there were a few known names that would hire him with 2, but thankfully we got one expunged and many more doors opened for him.

there is...

There is a website that has a database that addresses exactly what you're looking for. Well maybe not exactly, but basic felony policy. I remember almost all felonies/dui's were 1 per life-time, or at least ten years old.

He can fill it out all day long. But the majority of the large companies won't give it a second look...much less a first. They want accredited schools
