I had a mechanic do it ... it's part of the computer programming so you have to have the relevant software to access it.

On a Freightliner Columbia you set the opti idle by engaging the cruise control so no good on that. What I did on it was chock the tractors wheels then release the spring brakes like I was driving. Leave the trailer brakes on and this makes the thing think you are stuck in traffic and will not cut off at all. Only way I found on a Columbia.

lets make this truck run ALL NIGHT LONG!

i had previously asked this question, and well there are a couple different ways, depending on the truck, now on the international 9400s you can take a paper clip and put it in the 1st and 8th hole of the data port next to the key start, and it will make your gauges not work, but your truck will run all night long. Now as far as the Freighshakers, yes the parking brake released and trailer brakes applied, will act as if the tractor is "in motion" and will be bypassed, i suggest chocking the wheels of the tractor, as this isnt safe, but lets you sleep all night, as for me, I was worried about this and how to get around it with my company who also happens to have this and hires new drivers in a town just a few miles south of bentonville AR. but my truck is one of the few with out it! So I hope all this helps you out!
