LOL, that is why you use I-294 to bypass the city not 90/94 through downtown.

294 isnt always vacant either. Just went there yesterday. great fun.

To me 294 is a waste of time and money, but I listen to 780AM radio while en route to and when in Chicago, if a road is shut down or moving slowly, don't take that road, 55 inbound is usually worse than 94 in the AM, outbound is worse in the afternoon. 294 is under construction, big time lane closures, so you don't want to take it unless you know it is moving. They are working on that 1 all day and night.

94 is done through the city now, it's much better than it was even 2 years ago.

Isn't 294 always under construction? They finally finished 94? A few weeks ago, hubby went through that way (41 to 94 to avoid the tolls) and he said it was a nightmare!

Florida does a lot of their construction work at night during the summer months.
