Companies with around 98% drop n hook ?
I thought I would ask the ones that are in the know on this. Since we know that recruiters tend to tell you what you may want to hear. What companies are really 98% ( or so ) drop n hook?
My hubby is finishing schooling soon and we would really like to know for sure.

good luck on doing mostly drop n hook I have had it but it was few and far between mostly you will be doing live unloads and some live loads.
The beer runs are mostly drop n hook but I only got one or two of those.

This is more of a line haul job. Any union outfit or ltl outfit will have line haul positions. Normally those are night time runs though.

If you plan on teaming up then there will be some truckload carriers that would put you on dedicated routes to support established customers with drop and hook facilities. Solos in the otr truckload sector will normally bump a dock to get loaded and unloaded.

Is the question really about drop / hook, or is it really about fingerprinting the load?

Me - I'm quite content to take either option: drop/hook or live load/unload. So long as I don't have to touch the product.

ARE there companies that are 95% or better drop/hook?

I'm pretty sure those FedEx Ground doubles are drop and hook . They are O/O owned but some O/O's are fleet owners and hire drivers . Several freight companies shuttle trailers between terminals or have shuttle drivers swap trailers at fuel stops for terminals that are farther apart . There are also companies making just in time deliveries of frames and other parts to auto manufacturers that drop a loaded trailer and bring an empty back .
