| I'm slowly but surely finding out that I'm suited for this profession. I've been and going thru the same things that have been posted here so far. |

| I'm a total loner... I don't even turn the radio on... lol I drive down the road quite content in my solitude. I don't have to; share my toys, play nice, or put up with your stupid opinions, and the last time I got bored (1997) I switched lanes with no turn signal as a cure to break the monotony. life's good.

| I do not consider myself a loner. I am just comfortable in my own skin (so to speak) - I get along with myself and I play well with others!

| I wouldn't say im a loner, but im just as happy being alone as i am when im with friends (as long as i have something to occupy myself with). i love having friends around, but i dont seem to miss them when im by myself, if that makes any sense |

| Definitely not a loner. When I first started trucking - I was on the CB all day long talking to who-so-ever will. I loved driving so I didn't really care that I was alone. There was no satellite radio/tv, no cell phones, no Sirius - lots of people talked on the CB without alot of the trash-talking you hear today. I do local now - which is good for me because I get to talk to all kinds of different people during the day. Which doesn't mean I have to be around people all the time - some of today's units that are called humans aren't - much worth talking to. |

| Always been a loner. I maintain close contact with immediate family though. And I do tend to enjoy large crowds (10-100 people) from time to time, it depends on the setting. I get pissed in Wal-Mart really fast.

| Ive never been a socialable person and have kept my distance from people for the past 26 years. The less people I know, the less drama I have to deal with. Now that Im on the road, I have to deal with people Id much rather stay away from: people at the customer other than the person taking my bills, husband and wife and 4 snot nosed brats at TRUCK stops walking around aimlessly in the aisles, beggers, ect... As was mentioned, I too wonder why people like to live in one small place packed in like sardines. When traffic gets tough, I just remind myself that I do NOT have to deal with this everyday like these people do. They probally grew up or have family here, and just dont know anything else. I just feel sorry for them that this is what they have to put up with everyday. |

| amen to the drama... I feel the same way and have tried hard to convince my kids to be careful of who they decide to be friends with... chances are if you meet people and they seem to be in turmoil but it also seems like a normal day for them... you'd be better off to dump them while you can before you get attached and want to wag that sick puppy AND ITS PROBLEMS home with you. ALKIES, DRUGGIES, DELINQUINTS, AND DRAMA QUEENS... LOL all in the same basket.
