I don't think the 30 day thing is that much of a problem, buttmonkey, can this lawyer really fix these "infractions" so they never ever, ever are found? I am doubtfilled. This school should have informed you of these things. You should have looked at driver qualification requirements before investing this much time and money. Fraud on the school's part, I doubt it would fly in court. I'd demand a contract from that ambulance chaser before I gave him a red cent. Buyer beware as usual.

DDave
Just a truck stop lawyer, nah. But I'd take a job sniping at lawyers if you know of one.

You should not worry about those infractions, they are way too old! Sounds like you need to contact more trucking companies and talk to the recruiters. Maybe it's too soon to hire a lawyer also? I understand how you feel about taking care of your family and all. Surely theres a company out there that can use you - beat the damn bushes till you find one. You think those people haven't made any mistakes. Heck they have something in there past too. I'll say a prayer for you tonight - good luck partner. Chuckster

They are right. Sorry if my comments weren't very helpfull. Just trying to keep you from spending money on a lawyer un-neccessarily. Went to several recruiting sites. Looked, and driver qual's of several companies were compatible with your record. I've been around these boards since all there was, was USENET. Many outright nasty folks there. And I'm an abrasive old guy, gruff and to the point. Shut the blank up, load it on, I'll get it secured and take it down the road. Good Luck, keep yer head up. You are willing to work, you are a better man than a pretty large percentage of our population.

If I were you while you're waiting you can download all the trucking companies in your area and go see them. Apply in person and tell them exactly what you've done. Stay away from the recruiter for that 30 day wait time and try to find a company on your own. You never know you might just get lucky and get on with a good company.
