Sygma......Update

I started July 30 as a drivers helper, and so far I really like it. I go out 3 day a week. Twice to NYC and the 3rd time usually the south shore of MA. Its hard work moving the freight, but the pay is great. For 3 days I get about $800 a week, pretty soon I will take on a 4th run and I will gross about $1000 a week.
Just today I finally got behind the wheel!! Been a while, so I was rough at shifting at 1st. But the driver I go out with showed me how to shift without using the clutch, took a few tries, but I got the hang of it pretty quick. I still need a lot of practice, but I will get there. I managed to get it down I-84 and I-90. Going through the tolls for the 1st time was a little nerve racking, but I did ok. I managed to shift down to 6th and got through it.
So I'm pretty excited!! I will be a driver helper for a while, but I get to drive and practice in the meantime. Eventually I will become a relief driver, and at some point even get my own route!!
Damn trucks are slow though, 60MPH is BS!! Fully loaded we can barely make it up hills!!
Here is a pic of the truck we normally go out in, and a pic of going over the Triboro Bridge, and one take from the Williamsburg Bridge of NYC.
