You log what you do, where you do it, and when you do it. Overall, pretty simple. I'd be glad to e-mail you a sample page from my log book, with important information blurred out, of course.

A log book just has all the hours of a 24 hour period on it with off duty, sleeper berth, on duty driving, and on duty not driving. You log every change of duty status with flags on the bottom showing the city and what you were doing if on duty. Also shows truck number, driver number, trailer number, total hours worked ect ect ect....

If there are any fuel stops in your area you can buy them . Most have instructions inside the cover . But this link should help . [LINK POSTED BY MEMBER] Only Members Can View This Truck Forum Link.

Check your PM's, I'll have to e-mail as I don't care to post them for everyone to see.

CMoore

Would you mind sharing that email with me? My husband goes OTR for the first time on Monday and we are lost. I am trying to find as much info as possible this weekend. I am also checking out the FMCSA site. Any help you could offer would be terrific.
