I just can not believe that you people worry about the transmissions and colors of a truck when looking for work. How about benefits and pay or how long you stay out? How about what you will have in the way of retirement when you can not drive any longer? How many miles do they average a week, is the company safety minded, or do they have bad numbers with the FMCSA? So on and so on. You're going to end up saying 'Wow I made $300 last week with my 13 speed pretty truck".
Question about Schneider trucks.

I talked to a recruiter today, he said they are doing away with the autos. Their staying with 10 speed manuals. Im only 20, I put my application in but they wont pre-hire me until I turn 21 in october

When I worked for them we had 3 on our account and 1st of this yr me and 2 other drivers bob tailed to Indy to return them to the O/C there. I wasnt told if it was to retire them or if they were going into the system pool. It was the 1st time I ever seen an auto let alone drive 1. Lets just say I green horned it 3 times before I got off the yard. The 300 mile adventure to Indy was 299.5 miles more than I needed to realize Ill never drive another.

The only problem right now is a communication problem between the speed sensor, transmission and ecm that's causing speedometer and shifting problems. Hopefully Freightshaker will figure it out so we can get back to making money.
That being said, I wouldn't turn down a nice W900 or Classic XL, lol! -
Everett Thanks this.
