Most companies will forgive a DUI quicker than a felony.

He was saying he had 4 in one year though and it was a felony. That is a tough one to answer. I would say apply the worst thing they can do is say no. They cant take your birthday away.

Theft is more of a concern for insurance companies and every company is effected by their policy concerning theft. Just as with any felony though I suspect that it depends on how badly the company needs drivers. In times when demand is unusually high most of them will lower their standards. It's the in-between times though that you will experience lot's of frustration trying to find work with someone willing to give you a shot and decent wages.

I have a DUI that's 7 years old, my brother had a felony for B&E that was 10 years old, we were both hired by a company called Watkins and Shepard. They are based out of Missoula MT but have terminals all over the US. We were hired out of the one in NC. You can give them a try although i'm not sure they hire out of FL. I drove for them for about 2 months over the road, saw some cool places and met some cool people but decided that OTR trucking is not for me. Way to long of hours and to much sitting around at shippers and receivers and not getting payed for it. It gets lonely and traffic in mega cities is not fun in a 18 wheeler. I am going to be an electrician. Good luck with your trucking adventures.

Don't go to that school untill you find a job.Companies will keep your application till you finish school..I say this because if by chance you dont find a job then you'll be oweing that school. Many students can't find work once they're were done with school.Think what the selling point is ,schools say we'll help you find a job so they get your money. This happened in 2006,I think you're at the borderline but the felony is old enough for some companies that thy'll consider you.Again DO NOT go to that school till you get pre hired from a company.
