| Typically, a "clean" MVR means that there are no convictions for violations of any traffic citation on the report. If you have convictions within the period that the employer requires to be "clean", then you probably do not meet the requirements that they have. However, because one person's version of a "clean" MVR can vary, all can be cleared up by simply asking the prosepctive employer if your violations are a problem. All that can transpire from that point is a simple, "Yes" or "No". |

| Re: clean mvr Hi Thanks for the helpful reply. ps. Yeah, as I thought, the convictions can be dismissed with attorney’s help but the record will probably still reflect that at some point in the past I’ve had some convictions. But it’s best, as you said, just to call the employer and ask if it matters. Thanx simon |

I'm not sure where you live, so I can't answer completely all of your questions regarding your situation or whether or not you will have an assigned truck. I can offer that most all of the long haul drivers that live outside of the normal commuting distances of a terminal are assigned trucks. Peddle and local drivers slip seat, for the most part. I do have an assigned truck and I do take it home, but this is because I live too far from any of the terminals, but work within the LTL division and a regular traffic lane, where getting me home under a load each week is possible. |
