Well to make a long story short I was scheduled to leave for Roehl a few weeks ago. Till i received the phone call that Roehl had lost its VA accreditation (or something to that affect) and therefore no longer offered the apprenticeship program. Well this kinda puts me in a bind. I was really looking into utilizing some of those extra paychecks and the free school to smooth this transistion.
It would be awesome if you all could respond with some of the companies that still had this program running. It would help out termendously. So far on my list I have. TMC, WERNER, SWIFT, and TRANS AM. Most of those companies seem to have a somewhat negative report. Hopefully I can get some good ideas over the next few weeks.
Looks like I will be attending Katlaw out of atlanta. So i have a few days to get more prehires in order. Thanks in advance and I look forward to seeing you all on the road as soon as possible.

Well sorry to hear that. I will say this, you will horror stories of any companies that hire students. reason being is because they will try things with new students that they won't try with an experienced driver or that an experienced driver will see thru if they do try it. There are good and bad things to all companies out here. Some are just better or worse than others. Best of luck to you.

Man, that's a bummer Lewie. I had something sort of similar happen to me.

Lewie, I looked for the same program as well. A couple of others ya don't have listed that participate are Schneider and Covenant. (There are actually two or three more that I know of, but I know for a fact that they're currently in a hiring freeze).
