    Hey all,

I'm 18, going to be graduating here in a few days from high school, 3 to be exact and have always wanted to truck. Seeing how I am 18 and only can truck within state lines what kind of routes would you expect through california, nor cal to so-cal? What companies based in the bay area do this and would anyone of those companies help me threw training. Also does anyone know any colleges here in the Bay area or sacramento area that offer a trucking course? I have a clean driving and criminal background, no accidents, dui's, speeding or moving violations which I would think would be a good think for the company lol.

    Thanks

    Eric.

Good Luck!! I started when I was 18, intrastate Arizona. It can be done, I had family ties to the trucking Industry all my life, but if you have no ties, might be difficult. If you dont, I would start by finding all the local companies, and apply for "shop boy" doing services, flat tires, etc. and work on getting yor cdl. express interest to the boss man, and he may let you go with the guys to learn, in your off time.
