Stage Call Corp (SCC) currently hauls for the WWE. Some of the tv broadcast trucks are being pulled by whatever company is handling the tv production. SCC does employ O/Os and I'm sure there are a few on the tour but they have lots of company drivers. The last I knew there were twenty-something trucks on the tour, probably closer to thirty.
WWE had a long standing relationship with JANCO, another entertainment hauler, not sure why they made the switch to Stage Call. -
who are the various entertainment haulers? That would be interesting to do.Saw a thing once,in Pilot's magazine, forget which company tho.If I did it,I'd do it o/o.Any info will help.I checked out stage call, what are the other's.Thanks

Just to name a few...
The big three are: Upstaging, Stage Call, and Roadshow Services. Clark Transfer handles mostly theatrical national tours and is all owner operator, they provide the trailer. Then there is Artisan, SOS Transportation, Paramount, JANCO, Ego Trips, Xtreme Trucking, and Shomotion. In Canada there is Rock N' Roll Trucking, Stage Door, and Potenza Enterprizes which are the big three there.
You needs lots of verifiable experience and be ready to be on the road for a LONG time!!!
Hope this helps.Panhandle flash, cannuck, leannamarie and 1 other person Thank this. -
Thanks for the info.

Stage Call is the carrier for WWE. There are O/O and company drivers on the tour. They are all veteran drivers as well. You could not hire on and just get placed on it. It's earned. Many think its glitz and glamour, but when it comes down to it, it's just a job.
Upstaging has owned their own trucks since the 80's....not 5 or 6 years ago...
Paramount has been out of business for a few years now
It is true, if you work in this field, say good bye to your home life.
