    pre-inspection test CDL Ohio

I searched the threads for pre-inspection but could not find anything so I am going to post. I am in school now, and was wanting to become very confident in the verbage of the pre-trip inspection. I want to get it down very thoroughly. The instructor seems past the point of going over it again. I suppose I could push. I still have 3 weeks left. I could tape record a classmate, but would need to sift thru his mistakes.

But anyhow would anyone recommend one of those $10-$30 dvd's or other pre-trip walk thru websites that are out there, but one that I won't get ripped off ?

    Thanks for you consideration

I just got out of school the 21st of june and the only thing that I was having problems with was the pre trip. All I did on my last 2 weeks of school was go over the pre trip repeatedly until I got it. I don't know about the school you go to but the school I went to let me practice my pre trip with there truck and trailer for as long as there was an instructor on site. so I took advantage and I was there for 8 hours or more everyday.

I was able to twice go thru the whole pre-trip with 2 or 3 errors (on a few outside spots of truck)

    I'm feeling confident now thanks

I went to Clark State Community College in Springfield. In addition to doing the hands on pre-trip, our instructor had a CD that we could listen to and we also had a picture grouping that went from the start of the truck to the end of the trailer. It was pretty helpful but just going out and doing it is the best thing to do. Skip lunch or get there before class starts and continue to do it. If you can find someone to team up with that's even better. I can assure you that though you might think it's worthless information, it's not. When I got my truck, I could look at things, know what they were, and how they were supposed to look and work. Keep practicing and the best of luck to you...
