Most companies dont allow male trainees to train with female trainers. For female trainees they can chose to have a male or female trainer.I mite be wrong on this but I know for a fact most are like that.

Not enough female trainers to be taking males. Female trainees are given the option in most places to train with a male to cut their wait time.

You would think it would be a liability for the company to mix the genders with the trainers and trainees.
Just think, one bad event, or even an accusation, could be costly.

Myself I would not train females if I were a trainer. That is too small of a place to be confined too. I myself am a happily married, christian man and my wife of 18 years trusts me as I trust her, but why put myself in that situation? I know in the back of my wife's mind that it would bother her so I would not want to do it. Not to mention it just puts you in a position of temptation. Not to mention allegations.

I would not ask a new employer for a female trainer, maybe a non-smoking trainer but any other request may have a negative affect.

:biggrin_25516:It depends on the company. Each has their rules etc. Plus, the student/trainer relationship plays into it as well. My 3rd wife was my student prior to our marriage. She had to divorce her 4th hubby to marry me.:biggrin_25516:

remember .. times they are a-changing ... you can have 2 males or 2 females and still have the finger pointing and accusations .. but i do understand how much easier if it were male/female together... just adding my 2 sense...

if you do get a male trainer and you dont like him, you can always ask for another .. but dont be rude about it ... they could send you home ..

most will do whats necessary at that time. I am a male 41 years old and married for almost 22 years. I had a female trainer and she was terrific. We are adults here and nothing crazy happened. I was a little uncomfortable at first but that wen away very quickly. I guess most companies don't do this but sometimes its out of necessity to gt the student trained.

most companies you can have a male or female but if you say you want a female you most likly have to wait a while till one gets free they are way more male trainers its best just to take what you can get fast and get it over with lol
