:biggrin_25515:This report.... Ive yet to even procure mine...

But I was recently denied employment with Crete Carriers and received a letter stating that their decision to not hire me was based wholly, or in part, on information contained on my DAC.

Now, since im new in the industry, Im thinking that it may be for lack of reporting at all on my DAC and since this is what the recruiter told me as well...

Im starting to wonder more about these reports now though, as in, are they or can they be a running report from any trucking company? Or will a company only report to them once you leave your current driving position...

Also, Ive seen some posts about guys getting DUI's on there reports or other ticketable offenses, Felonies, arrests, etc.. justifably sometimes and sometimes not so justifable..

Anywho, Im wondering who reports these offenses to the DAC report?
As in, Ive recieved some tickets when I was a mighty, mighty teenager, had an arrest or two also, lol. This was long before I had obtained a CDL, so then, who, why, and how would this junk get on my DAC report if this stuff happened before I had CDL and had a company to drive for?

I guess Im going to get a free copy of my report currently anyways, but Im just digging for some information here also....

Needles to say, I can't stand my current scam job company and I would do anything to get away from it. So what Im going to type, I hope I am not judged too harshly for. But there has been a situation already during my training process and Im hoping it doesnt land on my DAC.

I received a phone call while I was driving with my trainer, I kept it to a minimum and got off the phone. My trainer didnt mention it to me, but the very next day while fueling at a Petro in Ohio, I receive a message from Qual-Comm: CRAZYEYES(lol), PLEASE CALL ME IMMEDIATELY!, THANKS, YOUR LOVELY DISPATCHER....... I make phone call, and Im completely reamed for being on the phone while driving, Im being threatened to be dropped off at a terminal and lose my job. Belittled to the max. Anyways, I really didnt know how to even respond and probably didnt help my own situation, I was in shock. Im sure glad I didnt go to the #### bar in New Jersey when we were laid over for 3 days and Im glad I know now this guy's a complete company tool. Anyways, I was told such and such about being reported to DAC.... I wasn't let go because of the incident, but regardless, is this something a scam job company can and/or will put on my report even though they keep me employed in their OTR slavery business???

Sorry for long post, Im lonely out here ;):biggrin_25526:

DAC reports are just like Transunion and Equafax they are a credit reporting agency...DAC or (USIS) is not only used as a report for trucking but also in government, (police,fire,ETC)...If you feel there are errors, or false information on your report you are allowed 1 free report a year you can get that report though OOIDA (OWNER OPERATOR INDEPENDENT DRIVERS ASSOC) or by contacting them direct in Tulsa,OK...Either way this industry has a lot of uneducated people in it,and a lot of irresponsible people in it, from the top to the bottom, so it is important for you to stay on top of your DAC report, false information as well as slander are pretty common in this industry because we do not fall under the fair labor standards act...Good luck...
