Exclamation Comparison Spreadsheet

wish i could attach the file here.. but the site doesn't accept spreadsheets. i'll try to come up with something. maybe i could email file to an administrator and THEY can figure a way to make it accessible to anyone interested? (hint hint... lol)

but please remember, this is my personal research. most of the info was taken from each company's website, or from listening to recruiters who visited the CDL school i attended in MAR2006. i cannot be responsible for any errors, or changes made since i created the spreadsheet..BUT i think it's a great starting point for those of you who aren't real familiar with the industry. i had the benefit of being an O/O with my ex-husband, who has +25 yrs driving experience. i think you'll find it very thorough... if not excessively so! lol

i wish y'all the BEST of luck in your search. it's a huge decision, but a very rewarding career.

I'm having a lot of trouble with truck maintainence and the lack thereof. ask what kind of mechs they have and what safety repair turnarounds are. my co. mech makes 12.00 per hour. and bandaids everything. I don't feel safe there. I'm looking...

Great information, getting down to the nitty gritty of the job. I like to ask how many drivers retire from the company. To me that's a good indicator of what type of company it is.

Spreadsheet

Bittersweet,

Could I get a copy of the spreadsheet too. I apparently do not have enough posts to email you the request. Thanks for your help. (and I won't hold you responsible)

BTW ... Why did you Choose Roehl? I have seen many people on this forum have chosen them.

I am seriously considering training to drive the Big Rigs, but I am not to sure which company to go with.

Thanks for your help,
Ken

Great list of questions. I just wish the recruiters would actually tell the truth. haha I've run into a few companies that also withhold info... like HHG.
