CRST / Malone are all O/O not company drivers... They do have gold trucks but those are lease purchase trucks.. oops I mean "fleece purchase" trucks.. I lasted ther 1 year back in 2005.. I couldn't take it any more and left.. I have nothing but BAD things to say about them! They are a POS company as far as I am concerned.

Arrow is closed. Hence my search for a flatbed company that will take me. Got out of school in September, went to Arrow in October, rode with trainer into November, drove solo until Arrow closed December 22nd. Not enough experience for any companies unless I start over like a recent grad.

While I was driving for Arrow I talked to a BTC guy that was untarping next to me. He liked BTC and had been with them for 5yrs. Melton seems really good too. I'm trying to get on with Maverick. I called Western Express and the recruiter said they pay .26cpm, so scratch that. Good Luck!

Talk to lots of drivers for any company you are looking at and try and find out what kind of miles they are getting, especially with no. 26 cents a mile isn't great, but if you are getting 2000+ miles avg. at that rate, and only 1500 miles avg. at 32cpm somewhere else...

True that. Point is, why work for a company that is going to have you work (FLATBED - real physical labor) for that much below what any other flatbed company pays. That's even lower than I've been seeing for van. Most flatbed starts at .31-.34cpm.
