You should be able to make $500 a week with even the bad carriers as a company driver. I wouldn't do this job for that kind of money but it all depends on what you want I guess. Training you'll likely make less than that but once on your own it is feasible to make between $35k-$50k your first yr if you don't mind working and being gone from home. Also a lot depends on who you work for too.

I average $800 a week Take Home, I've never taken home less then $400 and the most was $1100.

If you dont choose your employer carefully you WILL see $0, $100-$600 a week checks and if you lease you may see some NEGITIVE checks!

Expect to GROSS $25,000-$45,000 your first year depending on how long you stay out, how hard you run, and who you work for.

got to remember--you make 500 a week--but its costely to be on the road--say at least 150 a week-- depends if you eat in the truck or not--but even that adds up

I am finding out that there are a majority of cost that are from the road...i'm a cheap guy to feed...Its the truck cost that worry me...and I just don't know if I want to be a company driver..At least if i brought home $500 a week and covered my truck( used of course) i would feel like its all worth it...Honestly my gig right now, I don't even bring home $200 a week sometimes...$400 or $500 take home is great....I know it can be done, my little brother is doing it,but he also trains drivers.

Florida is a tough state to live in as a new hire from what I hear.

Maybe it has changed, but there were alot of posts a few months back about drivers going to local schools and then not being able to get jobs because they lived in Florida.

Lot of freight going in, not much coming out equals alot of trucks trying to get out loaded and when they do its cheap freight.
