Driving? Not at all. Sitting at a receiver for 3 hours ready to leave as soon as your paperwork is ready? Extremely boring. Good time to make a phone call, or write this post on TTR though.

Back when I drove it was not as boring as now.
The reason is that I drove old trucks where not everything worked as well as it should have.
    Mainly oversize loads.
I was so physical and I needed to make adaptions nearly all the time.
Anxiety at trying to hold it all together most of the time.
Add to that dodging cops , there was not that much time to get bored.

If I was in a modern truck doing OTR I see the potential for boredom.
I would defiantly use the time to learn a new language with one of those tape/CD language courses.
There are many things that OTR life could afford you if you are are willing to use the time wisely.

if you let it get boring then you get complacent and that's when you make a mistake.

always plenty of things to see going on in cars....you'd be surprised....lol...sometimes things you wish you could unsee.....summer is always nice for girl spotting.....the hotter it gets the shorter the skirts get and skimpier the tops get.....if you're watching your mirrors like you're supposed to be you shouldn't get bored you should be aware of your surroundings at all times and busy doing crosschecks and scanning what's ahead of you.....

for the downtime at shippers or reccivers i've got a 30" flat screen, a guitar and practice amp....laptop...dvd's...there's always something to do if you prepare before you leave with distractions for the downtime

I personally enjoy beating the steering wheel like a drum while listening to the radio. I know that I am off beat and when I sing I am glad no one be me can hear it. The enjoyment usually last about 10 minutes then I find something else to do

I believe truck driving can be very boring. Of course the one time it becomes boring something exciting will happen. I was bored to death coming out of Denver. Had the cruise control set and was just listening to an audible book. The snow was beautiful. It got real exciting then. Tractor strarted spinning, trailer came through the back of the cab.

Anytime you are operating a big rig and you feel bored you should park.
