A rock and a hard place... When i'm in my Car, why do you folk like to surround me. I'll be in the middle lane and somtimes trucks will come on both sides and scare the living crap outta me. The wind is totally different, blows me about, it worries me. Why do you folk do that?

| Drive in the right lane, they'll only pass on one side that way.

Don't lie. Tell the truth; you box in Madcap because it is fun. It's the same reason you drift toward the shoulder a little when you see a hitchhiker. It's why when three of you are running side by side you'll mysteriously slow to 50 MPH at the same time. You guys are fun.

I've heard the proper response to the poster's question, but my memory is failing me. It had something to do with a dog, and a porch, I think...

I have long called the middle lane of a six lane road the chicken lane. It seems that people feel safer there and in our left lane restricted world, the chicken lane becomes our hammer lane, I have seen more rear end type accidents in the center lane than in the right. Eventually, the person driving in the center lane decides they need to exit, and they can't, so then they stop. This even happens to truckers, hard as that is to believe. One night I was driving up through Chicago on 94 following another truck in the center lane when the truck I was following did a quick lane change right at an exit to the left. A Stevens truck had missed the exit and stopped dead in his tracks, I had cars to the left and right and had to also stop, luckily we had slowed somewhat so it was possible for me to stop with only a few empty pallets on the box. I love driving in WI or IA where there is no left lane restriction.
