Trucker's Language

Just a little question to all you truckers out there, Do you still use trucker language ? (e.g. Come in red falcon, this is rubber duck, what is your current 10-20 ?) Do you all have code names ? if so, do you pick your own name ? I watch too many trucker movies

Haha I know thats right! I like Thanksgiving and Christmas when everyone in my family gets together. All the guys are truckers so we swap stories. Alot of em start with "You ain't gonna believe this ####" and with Shakey runs somewhere. Sometimes you slip up and call someone their handle at the dinner table.. Hey Highpockets.. pass me the potatoes...
Everyone is pretty used to it now though.

Smiley 1 my biggest objection

when I started out, was I'd go home and there were a couple of other drivers who hung out at the same tavern I'd frequent. They knew the company I worked for, and couldn't resist when I walked in, shouting
"Hey Sunflower, come on over here". That got me plenty of strange looks from guys who weren't truckers, LOL!
