Just a Thank You

I just wanted to say thank you to all of the truckers that ran the I81 corridor thru PA on last Thursday and Sunday.
I took my 6yr old daughter to see my parents and on the way told her about a little game to play with the trucks. Basically to make the motion to blow the horns.
Believe it or not, you all made her weekend. You all made her laugh and giggle for amost 500 miles.
Again, thank all of you for making a little girl's day.

Jim

My husband also has my son do that when passing a trucker. And 9 times out of 10 they blow their horn. He loves being in the "big truck".... Mahalo all!

I can tell you that on every field trip that I take my kids on, they always want the truckers to honk. It totally makes their day. And personally, I'd rather have a bunch of junior high kids entertained by that than by some of the other shenanigans that they can pull on the road.

I love laying on the horn, esp for the real little ones, they get a hell of kick out of it. If I ever get back to being an O/O, I'm getting train horns, to really make 'em smile (and hopefully not give gramps a heart attack).

Once I get back to my truck I am replacing the horns on it I got four on it now from westernstar, but for some unknown reason they stopped working. But I love seeing the look on the kids faces when I give those horns two slow tugs... Sometimes the parents aren't paying attention to what the kids doing though and that can be as funny as watching the little kid just jump up and down with joy over a simple kind jesture.
