Truth be known Brickman, I LIKE Wyoming! The only thing that keeps me from moving there is that my hubby has arthritis in his hands, and that kind of cold just kills him!

We're looking at Coffeyville KS, some areas of OK, and some areas of Texas. The jobs are very plentiful in Coffeyville, and the housing is cheap compared to here. And with the fact that we know alot of property owners there, it will be easy enough to find a place to live.

No, it doesn't thunder when it snows Thunder is usually just a spring/summer/fall thing.

I love the changing seasons but HATE the humidity of the summers in the east. Brickman has it right - you break a sweat sitting in the shade. "It's not the heat, it's the humidity" is a VERY true saying! If I could live somewhere where the humidity was low all summer, I'd love to.

I hope you find somewhere to go where you'll be happy

I LOVE Wyoming, but then again, I was raised on the "Front Range".

I just brought a load across Wyoming with only 2500 lbs in the box. Almost got trapped in Rawlins for the weekend. I would have LOVED to have had 11,000 on the trailer.

Winter-time thunderstorms with snow? You better believe it happens. More than you would know.

Wow ... lots of good info here. Trooper, the whole Florida thing really starts to eat on you after you've been here long enough, and you've been somewhere else and have some basis for comparison. You keep thinking, if I make a little more money ... maybe it would be all right. The problem is, the more you make, the more creative they get about taking it away from you.

I have to admit, I get a little catch in my throat when I drive over the bridge from the mainland to Longboat Key, especially when the sun is going down and the waves are coming in, big old long-legged birds are everywhere lookin' like statues ... it's just gorgeous. Then you get behind some #### in a Lexus driving like he owns the whole town, and the glow tends to fade quite a bit.

Wyoming is starting to sound like a challenge ... but maybe a good one.
Virginia sounds good, as do Kentucky (especially Coffeeville) and Tennessee

Try Pennsylvania

Hi there. I just moved from southeastern PA to central Florida and can honestly say, I will always miss it. The change of seasons is ok, but there are times, when you walk outside and its brisk and cold, you take that nice deep breath and it feels cold all the way down to your stomach. AHHHHHHH. That what I'LL miss. The weather is nice, it can have some wild thunderstorms, but I must say, you're gonna pay about the same for gas and other stuff no matter where you go. But, its wonderful for the season change and it has a rich history. I lived in the Bucks County area, near a Doylestown, PA. It was nice. I would say if you like a diversity in seasons and nothing to extreme, this part of the state would be your best bet. But it's your choice. Good luck.

Varga, that's another reason to think about moving; the history. I was in Philly for a while in the early 80s. I was just a kid then and could care less about history. I missed so many opportuniites to see things while I was there, (about 6 months) I could kick myself.
