New York, New Jersey, Kaliphornia, Illinios. Too few freedoms left in any of those liberal infested hell holes. 10 below again here for tonight in Wisconsin. Florida is looking pretty good right about now!!

IN??? well I guess if you have a corn fetish. nothing else there. You can cross IN, IL, IA, and NE before you realize you went somewhere. I love WI. Just too darn expensive to live there and they have this thing about being up your butt every time you so much as sneeze. I'm all about personal freedoms and TX fits me perfectly in that regards.

| I have cousin's in Grant's Pass! Beautiful area! Love it there, but wouldn't live there if you gave it to me. (TOO MANY COUSINS!!!! LOL!)

ever consider denver, co springs, maybe ft collins? avoid boulder, people up there are idiots, and prices are hideous. i live in broomfield, about 1/2 way between denver and boulder, it's not too bad. been there almost 16 years now. weather is not what you might think, they say it gets more sunshine than fla or ca. most of the weather is on the other side of the mountains, we do get some but i've mtc'd in jan, and hung tire chains up in the mountains in july. housing is good, and there are a good number of jobs there. got 3 interstates, and a couple us highways thru there, so if you decided to drive it's a good central location to get home time. another choice might be salt lake, i'm actually working on moving there, denver is great, but i'm not from there, and i have some really good friends in utah that are closer than family. salt lake has less than a 1% unemployment rate, and houses are about 15% less compared to where i live now, weather is also really nice, does get some heavier snow and fog than colorado.

Ok I have to disagree with you on the thunder and snow. Now normally I would agree that it doesn't. However. On Tuesday night, Jan 29, 2008, I took my husband down to Indianapolis, In to Celadon to start orientation. He was told at the terminal to go to the motel down at exit 4 on Harding Street. We left Celadon on the east side of Indy. The temp was 53. We headed around 465 and the rain, with 80 mile an hour straight line winds hit. And the lightning and thunder. So, I dropped hubby off at the motel. It was still 53 degrees. Rain, thunder, lightning had slacked off. I headed back around 465 to 74 west. The wind, rain, thunder and lightning started again. By the time I got on 74 west and got to Brownsburg, just west of Indy, it was almost white out conditions, had changed from rain to snow blowing, 80 mph wind gusts, and yes, thunder and lightning while it was snowing. And the temp had dropped from 53 to 29. In a matter of probably fifteen miles. But I have never, I repeat never, seen thunder and lightning in a snow storm before that. It was one nasty whopper storm that came through that night. Hard and fast. So up until that night I would agree that it doesn't thunder and lightning during a snow storm, but that night put paid to that. Although I think it was probably a fluke. Basically a thunderstorm with a snowstorm riding on its butt. And the two just got mixed together.

thnder snow is very rare but it is real. email your local meterologist and ask. It did it last year in WI which was my last winter there and it was all over the TV.

I like Kentucky personally. The cost of living in most areas is extremely low compared to the rest of the country, and the people are like the old southerners you probably grew up around. I love the people there. Of course like anywhere wages reflect the lower cost of living. But unlike so many places you can actually live on what the local markets support.
