Rude drivers

Im just needing to vent...I am a security officer at a plant and hopefully a future driver in 8 months and I deal with drivers on a daily basis and am fed up with the way some of them talk to me....like I dont know what I'm doing or I'm doing it wrong according to them...just the other night I had a couple of drivers come in with some inbound material so I had to let them in first over standard loads...he had checked in before them...so I tell these inbound guys to come on up and come inside and they do...and the other guy asks me if I have him down on my truck list I tell him yes and that I have to send these guys around first and says ok I'm just wondering....so I call him up 5 minutes later and he comes in all p***ed asking me why they got to go around him first and I tell him why and he says I've been coming here for 9 ####### years dont tell me that bull****....so I tell him hey I'm doing my job the ways its suppose to be done so u need to lose your attitude and get back in your truck..and he says a whole bunch of explatives lol while mumbling and walking away....I'm just tired of dealing with drivers that come in and talk to me like I'm some sort of uneducated kid who doesn't know what they are doing....I hope the rest of you drivers out there do not do these kind of things...I know i won't when I'm out there...

Don't worry about a few hot heads. You did the right thing by spelling out your companies recieving policy. You,as an employee, just like me as a driver have to follow company policy.I learned a long time ago that being patient at a shipper or reciever goes along way the next time you show up.I never bad mouthed anyone. If had to wait,I waited. One other thing,if you do decide to drive, have patience.DOT stops, bad weather, traffic, bad loads or no loads. It's just another day in trucking and proably won't change anytime soon. But it beats sitting behind a desk.
