Why were your shorts in The Dalles, instead of covering your frontandrear?

Deer

I was going to ask about this subject when i found this thread

as the deer around here , ( Wisconsin ) have some sort of death wish , it seams there motto is ( IT"S A GOOD DAY TO DIE ),

and i just wondering on if your a new driver what the company's would say ,

I know when i was out here for 5 years i made the mistake of saying one day i cant believe all the people that hit deer out here , they must be just not watching what there doing ,, ( big mistake ) that evening i hit a huge buck with my silverado , (2200,$ ) front end 2 weeks later doe in my car , 6 months later truck coming home last day of deer season and hit 3 at one time ,( they was running from hunters ) took out the front end again along with the radiator and new tranny cooler ,hood
3500$ this time ,, so needles to say , never i mean NEVER say I never hit a deer lol trust me

so can you put a deer guard on your truck ? to minimize the damage
i know all the sheriffs cars have them on ,,

If a deer comes out in front of me, we're gonna have diesel-tenderized venison all over the road.....
As for what the companies would say, I've actually been told by a few companies that "you are to take the animal out." If you swerve or panic brake, you just made a whole lot bigger mess than you would have by hitting the deer.

I have never heard of a company allowing anyone to put deerguards on their trucks, in fact I put deer whistles on my truck when I used to work for maverick and they removed them.

How we do it in the 49th state.

We don't have deer guards in south central, AK cuz there are no deer, we do have Moose guards on the front bumpers, because a moose will severely damage your truck if you do hit one.

If a moose is hit, we are required to call the state troopers; they will come down make a report and get someone down from the charity list to clean it. Moose that are hit by vehicles become dinners for the less fortunate. I wouldn't mind being on the list, I'll take moose meat any day over store bought beef.

Oooo
I wouldn't want to eat any animal that has been hit by a vehicle
There are just certain internal body parts that break open and taint the meat
Yuck
