I believe International discontinued its North American production of cabovers but Freightliner still offers one.
Ah, no. Freightliner hasn't offered a COE in the N.A. market for a few years ... the Argosy being the last in 2005, IIRC.

As for weight, I have a 2003 FL Classic, 70" condo sleeper with a 2008 50' Great Dane with TK reefer ... 34,300 with 220 gal. fuel and a change of underwear.

I was not aware that Freightliner had discontinued production of the Argosy cabover. Thankyou for the correction and update.

Thanks

On the trailer there should be a registration holder. And in that holder should be the vehicle registration and on that paper, will be the empty weight of that unit.

At truckstops you can purchase a book on weight displacements for any vehicle.

Just passing some tips along to you....

If you want to know for sure have the truck and trailer weighed empty with the driver in the cab AND the fuel tanks full. That's what I'd do if it came down to money. After all you could be paying more than what you should. Just keep the weigh slip and I think I'd even have it weighed at another scale just to be sure. That's business.

International daycab with an aluminum trailer/flatbed/48 footer - the thing can legally haul 56,000 pounds. Weighs out empty at 23,300.

The 377 I used to drive, with an empty scrap wagon would be anywhere from 43,000 to 54,000 empty, depending on which trailer I was hooked to.
