No offense to other posters but this was the info the OP asked for . Empty weights of other type trailers really didn't help . Note how much heavier these rigs are .

thanks, I should also mention though, that we are allowed a recycling overweight permit, so my truck with a tandem spread was legal to 96K, and 110K with a triaxle wagon. So you could put quite a package in them.
However, in lower MI, the typical scrap wagons are 50'x13'6"x102" with eight axles under them, and are well over 60K empty with a day cab, and legal to 154K, however they are usually well over 200K gross.

Yeah,RickG had the best suggestion,you might follow the trucks & stop where they to do get their coffe,food ect.

My Pete 387 with full tanks, and a 48x102 aluminum flatbed is very close to 32,000... 48,000 max load for me...silly heavy tractor. I want my shortnose 379 back!
