Why are the rear doors of reefer trailers quilted?

What is the purpose of the quilted pattern on the stainless rear doors of refrigerator trailers?

Heartland Express doesn't do refrigerated, but the trailers have polished stainless doors, with the trademark, 'Reflecting Quality' on them, Those will just about blind you if the sun hits them right.
