| I know a lot of companies do random drug screening even after being hired on, they will also do a drug test if you ever get in an accident whether your fault or not. |
| ||||
| This is how it will go. You'll abstain until you get the job. Then you will start again a little bit at a time until you're back full-on smoking. Assuming you don't have any actual accidents, the time until your next random screen, about a year lets say, will define the period of time you had a trucking career. |

| Oh yeah. And I forgot to mention....if you happen to be in an accident with a fatality. EVEN if it wasn't your fault- say, somebody on the other side of the highway falls asleep, crosses the median and plows into the side of your trailer and dies instantly....IF you test positive for drugs or alcohol, you'll likely go from a non-preventable, no citation accident....to manslaughter, or negligent/vehicular homicide. You'll do jail time, on top of losing your livelihood. It might seem like a "small" risk- but once you're out on the road long enough, you'll see the aftermath of PLENTY of tragic wrecks- enough to convince you that you are NOT immune....

| If you take on driving as a career. You'll have it until your first random, or accident. And you'll never work again, as a driver at a major company. Or any company, if the latest bill gets traction. You have to commit to giving it up, completely.
