No, be Honest with the employer.
Yes, I made the mistake of getting a poppy seeded bagal then took a drug test and was later asked by my employer if I was on cocain? I told them what I ate and was not aware of the poppy seeds that I would re-take my drug test. Most employers will do so if you are honest with them but the last thing you should not do is get up-set. Be calim and honest>

I hope this doesn't come back and bite me on the ###.
I went to a cheech and chong show, the reunion tour. It was a great show and I'm glad they got back together.
Now onto my issue. I use to smoke pot when I was younger, but have stopped for a long time. I had a idea of what might go on at the show. I mean it is tommy chong and all. But, what I saw blew me away.
Within 10 minutes of show start people were lightin up.. The people next, in front and a few rows back all started. About 30 minutes in the power cuts out, they overloaded a circut. So, now it all starts up again. Now, before you could see smoke in the air and you could see it in the spotlight beam. After the power came on, what was once a light smoke in the lightbeam is now a DENSE line of light. :-0
So I hope that this does not screw me up, I never touched anything but with it everywhere not a single person came out sober. Some form of contact was achieved at that show.
My school may do a random after we come back from turkey break. I hope I'm not called.

The long term adverse effect of THC on the brain is well documented.
Most tests list a level of THC in the system which would indicate occasional use or higher with chronic use staying in the system for 30 days +,
THC in general has become the most genetically engineered drug out there. In the 60s - 70's thc levels in pot were less than 3% now the average stuff out on the street is 33% plus!
There is no doubt that alcohol is the worst abused mind altering substance that is consumed in the USA and is the only drug that you can DIE from during detox. The long term effects alter personality and reduces the persons physical stamina with the addition of increased medical cost and loss of work associated with that behavior due to the above.
I just don't want to think that as a professional driver anyone would want to consider either being appropriate. I'm not saying an occassional drink is not ok, or brief periods of intoxication from alcohol isn't ok, its the chronic types that pass out every week end or have to have the "beer" after getting out of the cab.
I know I'm going to hear from people that think thc is an ok alternative to alcohol, but it's not and never will be.

Prescription drugs
Hey Guys/Gals I have a ?
I'm currently a line maintenance technician for a communications company but not sure for how much longer with impending layoffs. I know this is the worst time to be switching careers but I do have CDL permit and have enough saved up for a Local community College course to hopefully achieve my license. I don't drink or do drugs but am on a mild blood pressure med and Lorazepam taken when needed for anxiety. I read that benzodiazepine is on a banned list for DOT testing. Is that still the case when prescribed?
Thanks again for any insite and apologize in advance if this subject has been beaten to death.

JD F350 I'd ask the DOT folks, I find "The Trucker's Report" post extremely informative in general information but for something like this I'd go to the source for the specifics for on point information so you don't get blind sided.
Asking is free and safe if done before hand.

The majority is from major medical research done on long term use of thc which was compiled from The Oregon Department of Corrections, Substance Abuse program research. In addition, this information was corroborated by Serenity Lane, Best Care Treatment programs (Oregon based not for profit org) and the US Surgeon General.
Most of this info is on the net if you want to google it but as with everything on the net you really have to check out the source of the post. There are alot of people out there that want to justify the use of THC in any manner and will post allot of misleading information and BS.
Any way the majority of the information is public access and can be shared. Please look for these sources yourself and be prepared to read.
