In the last 2 years I have been in 46 states and all across Canada. In the hundreds of places I have stayed I have had only 2 LL knock on the door. Since I put a "no lot lizzard" decal on the door I have had none. The scariest looking people that I see around are usually truckers.
I stayed for the second time at the TA in Ontario California the other week. I've heard it's a bad place but I did not see anything going on. The only TS that I have felt nervous at is that TA just east of Chicago in Gary Indiana. There were a lot of real dangerous looking people around there.

a couple of weeks ago, she knocked on my door at the loves just a few miles north of there. i declined her services. if they're good looking, chances are it's a cop.

I am not encouraging any illegal activity BUT if you want to find out if it's a cop or not tell her the following:

"How much just to sit and talk?" If it's a pig she will try to entrap you into naming a price for you know what. If she is real she will name a price and climb in your cab. Just use common sense out here drivers.

I was about to mention that. Im going to be starting out soon and reading this kinda worries me. I'm NOT a good person when I first wake up especially if woken up by anything other than my alarm clock. I wonder what the L/L's would say if I just asked them to jump in and shoot the breeze for 30 min. All of this makes me a little sick to be honest.

Don't worry, they are not as common as it seems. Especially when I can tell you all the truck stops to aviod if you want wanting to do with them, like me.

1) Any truck stop in Amarillo TX

2) Any truck stop in Gary IN

3) The Vince Lambardi serice plazas in NJ

4) The McAllen TX Flying J

Perhaps some more "well rounded" truckers will chime in with more places.
